Synlait forecasts strong milk price for 2025/26

Synlait Milk Limited (Synlait) has confirmed its opening forecast base milk price for the 2025/2026 season at $10.00 per kgMS. This forecast is based on a continued optimistic outlook for prices and reflects Synlait’s commitment to (at a minimum) match the industry’s advance rates and milk price. Forecasts are based on the best information to date. It is important to note that the ongoing geopolitical uncertainty could result in a range of outcomes for next season. Synlait’s final milk price for the 2024/25 season will be confirmed on 29 September 2025 when the company releases its full year result. The 2024/25 forecast base milk price remains at $10.00 per kgMS reflecting a 25% increase on Synlait’s opening forecast price for the season of $8.00 per kgMS. Synlait enables farmers to earn more for their milk, paying farmers several incentives on top of the base milk price.
